He was a bold man that was not afraid to speak his mind as was the mastermind behind many controversial films and articles. In 2004, Mohammed Bouyeri, who was linked to the terrorist organization, Hofstad Network, murdered Theo. The memorial now celebrates every citizens right to free speech.
